The story
When I created this piece I was inspired by caves and how natural stones and Crystal's grow. I wanted a moon shape that would have a cave of it's own that I could attach Crystal's as if they were growing from the mooncatcher itself. I'm so pleased with the outcome. I've named this creation Prohodna after the beautiful caves in Bulgaria.
The process
To start this piece I saw the moon shape using MDF wood. I wrap the moon shape with our softest 100% cotton string in 4mm snow white. I then get to work on the detailed web adding clear quartz chips for that extra bit of unique handmade detail.
Onto the macrame tail using square knots this part takes the most concentration, I find it's a form of meditation. I've then added the clear quartz to the moon cave as if they are growing out of the moon dreamcatcher. Agate slice and clear quartz have been wire wrapped and hung for the top of the moon base.
